• Listings, profile content and submissions
• Purchase confirmation and subscription status (not payment details)

3. Payment Information

We do not collect or store payment card details. All purchases and subscriptions are processed securely through Apple App Store or Google Play using the payment information associated with your account. We receive confirmation of successful payment only.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

• Contract – to provide access to the app
• Legitimate Interests – to improve and secure the platform
• Consent – where you opt into communications
• Legal Obligation – where required by law

5. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide services or comply with legal obligations. If you delete your account, your data will be deleted or anonymised within a reasonable timeframe unless retention is required by law.

6. International Transfers

Some third-party providers (including Apple and Google) may process data outside the UK. Appropriate safeguards are applied in accordance with UK GDPR.

7. Children’s Privacy

The platform is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children.

1. Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older to use this platform.

2. Community Standards & Acceptable Use

Users agree not to:

• Post unlawful, harmful, abusive or misleading content
• Harass, exploit or endanger other users
• Upload inappropriate content relating to minors
• Attempt to hack, disrupt or misuse the platform

3. Safeguarding Statement

The Home Ed Way is a connection platform only. We do not supervise activities or verify safeguarding credentials of providers. Parents and guardians remain fully responsible for vetting tutors, providers and events before participation.

4. Provider (Tutor) Terms

Providers listing classes, events or services agree that:

• All listings must be accurate and lawful
• You are responsible for safeguarding compliance and insurance
• You are responsible for tax reporting and legal obligations
• You will not misrepresent qualifications or experience

5. Marketplace Disclaimer

We provide a platform for connection only. We do not verify listings or guarantee outcomes. We are not responsible for disputes, losses, cancellations or injuries arising from user interactions.

6. Payments & Subscriptions

All payments are processed via Apple App Store or Google Play. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled via your app store account settings.

7. Refunds

Refunds are handled solely by the app store provider:

8. Moderation & Removal

We reserve the right to remove listings, suspend accounts or restrict access where we believe terms have been breached.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Home Ed Way shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed any fees paid by you in the previous 12 months.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be subject to the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes

We may update these terms periodically. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of updates.
